The Roku streaming player is typically a series of digital media player
set top boxes manufactured by Roku Inc. It has lots of channels for the
broadcasting purposes. The Roku TV Application
has streaming device which gets data via a wired or Wi-Fi connection to an
internet router. Its contents are available in Amazon Cloud Player, Amazon
video, Amoeba TV, BBC I Player, Crunchyroll, Google Play Movies & TV,HBO
Go, Hulu Plus, MLB TV, Netflix, Now
TV(UK) and ITV Hub.
The Roku TV Application has four generation.
Its first generation models like Roku DVD has all features like video
components, component HDMI, video resolution 480i 480p 780p 1020p, audio output
like analog, optical HDMI, Ethernet, processor of PNX 8935 400 MZ, memory of
256 MB, channel storage of 64 MB, Roku SD has all features except like
component HDMI, Video resolution of 1080, audio output like optical HDMI, USB
network and micro SD slot is not available. Roku HD XR has special features
like network 802.11 wireless dual band. Roku HD, SD and XDS are launched in
September 2010 and have some features in video output like HDMI, in XDS the
video resolution of 4k is not available. Its second generation models like Roku
LT (2400,2450), Roku HD (2500), Roku 2 HD(3000),Roku 2 XD(3050) have all features
like except video resolution of 4k, audio of Ethernet feature is not available in model Roku XS(3100). Its third generation
models are Roku 3(4200), Roku 2(4210), Roku 3(4230) have network 802.11 except
model Roku LT (2700), Roku 1(2710). The fourth generation models are Roku 4
(4400), Roku streaming stick (3600) video output HDMI both models have feature
like Netflix profiles.
