Video Streaming Application

Video Streaming Application represents the use of multimedia from provider to the end user. The recorded streaming involves the watching the channels which are playing previously broadcasted programming in the recorded form etc. Video streaming application involve live streaming consists of playing the programme with the digital media player. In the early 1920s, George O squire was granted patents for a system for the transmission and distribution of signals over the electric lines known as Muzak a technology streaming continuous music to the commercial customers without the use of radio. In 1980s to 1990 consumers grade personal computers became powerful enough to display various media but the main technical issue was enough CPU power and bus bandwidth to support the required data rates.

Computer networks were still limited and media were usually delivered over non streaming channels, as for example downloading a digital file from a remote server and then saving it to a local drive on the end user’s computer or storing it as a digital file and playing it back from CD-ROMs. During the 1990 and 2000 the internet users saw standard protocols like HTML, HTTP and TCP/IP. Audio stream has been compressed using an audio codec MP3, Vorbis, ACC or Opus etc and video streaming are assembled in container bits streaming such as MP4. The video stream is compressed using a video codec such as H.264, HEVC, VP8, and VP9 also the encoded audio and video streaming are as collected in a container bit stream such as MP4, FLV, WEBM, ISMA etc. Video streaming applications involve long streaming are video lectures performed online in the internet.
